How fast do populations recover?

This France income is killing me. How fast does the population recover?

I have no idea. It's slow enough not to be relevant unless you're playing a full 75+ turn game.

Also it does matter here...the population got decimated, affecting income. For comparison, here are some neighboring countries



Of course, I can't make the population heal faster, but still curoius.
