Hey,
since you never know what happens in our forums( no, this isn't a leak), why don't I inform you of the proposed changes to the Banlist system?
It's quite simple, really.

BAPT - Banlist Appeal Thread

P.S. If you vote no and below I don't see the same number of negative posts, that doesn't count.

Would be good when all bans just stand for an interval (like 1-2 weeks)

Maybe admins should also add a drop down list like in the translation, that shows the history of the player, it'll apply only on mod changes and which mod unbanned him and how many times he was unbanned by a mod. Support your idea BTW.

Yes, but some people need to be perma-banlisted. For that we can have a special checkbox

Just leave it how it is, The system works fine in my opinion.

Many map makers don't like the fact that their banlist gets edited in a way that doesn't reflect changes. You can't see who it was that got unbanned and this person can now troll your games.
Besides, this is a very simple thing to do.

I get your point... I just think the current system works.. "if it aint broke, dont try and fix it"

It is broken, as moderators currently unban players, leaving no trace behind. And what if that was a real troll and "I just didn't have enough time to take a screenshot?"

This wouldn't work.

There are two types of ban: banned from a player's games (game ban) and banned from a player's maps and scenarios (map ban). When a mapmaker bans a player, he usually uses both, but the appeal is only valid for the map ban. If the player is game banned as well and we edit the reason, this will just only more confusion since he'll think he's still banned from the map (and not the game) and will think the mapmaker is going against the rules by rebanning them after a mod unbanned them.

I don't consider the phrase "massive fag" to be an insult. Mods did.

If you didn't provide a screenshot when banning a player from all maps and scenario's and a Mod un-bans them, that's fine. However, Pulse, if a MOD un-bans a player from a Map makers Ban List, Not only does the Map Maker need to be aware, the player that was un-banned also needs to be aware. When Laochra un-banned a troll/leaver from my Ban list because I forgot to provide Screenshot, I had no clue that person was un-banned from my list and since the person that was un-banned has no idea that he is now allowed to play a scenario that he was banned from, it creates confusion for both the Map maker and the Player (Now un-banned). Its the Mods responsibility to notify both people when considering moving a player from the Ban List. With that said, this system that E-Mare is putting forward ends that confusion.

Just to add on E-mare's proposal, I also suggest not only notifying the Map Maker about a player being un-banned from his/her scenario, but also Notify the Player that is now un-banned. Therefore, Pulse, this could work with this extra information that has been provided. I agree with E-mare's Proposal and I would also like this suggestion I have made included.

Players are notified when they are unbanned in the ban list appeal thread. But I agree maybe the map maker should be notified as well. I think by simply quoting them in the thread will fix this issue.

Cheers

It would, as this is a simple way to notify map makers that players have been unbanned.

1. We can see the reason for the previous ban( we - mods & map makers)
2. New bans don't have to be made( old ones get edited, most of the time);
3. This can act as a watchlist;
4. Map makers( I myself) can know who edited their banlist and contact the mod if they have questions.

Hey guys,

Uh, I was recently banned by player "BlackFlagg" for repeatedly calling on him to make better decisions on who he was kicking in his RP's (Fappino Sovereign Roleplay) anyway, he was essentially kicking for his own expansion and what not. Anyway, we ended up leaving and a bunch of people left with us, and he's essentially banned me.

Anything you guys could do? Clos sent me here to put up an appeal. Here's my ban reason if you guys want it. http://imgur.com/rcfUgUA

Thanks anyway.

This is the wrong place to post this.

However,

game hosts have the sole discretion to ban you from their games for any reason and do not require evidence, despite how immoral his reasons may be there is little we can do.
map hosts/map makers banning players from their maps and scenarios are a different story. If you would like to see justice please send me a private message as I am one of the three admins on Fappy's RP and can get him banned from the scenario altogether.
