If we send 10 units to fight mith and they stalemate.. do those same 10 units then go on to fight armenia?
As long as Mithridates is stalemated this turn (or defeated) you may send whatever else want to fight Armenia.
OK so... Raise 3 legions. Giving us 28 army strengh in total.
zeph will lead vs mith taking nmh with him.
They will take his 2 vets and 6 of the freshies.
20 strengh total...
If stalemated or beaten I will fight armenia with my evos, my vet and 2 freshies.
Giving me 12 strengh.
Sid will fight the egyptians in cyrene with the rest.. i think its 8 legions.
Giving him 12 strengh.
All redeploy to asia.

Battle of Nicaea
Aurelius Cornellius Scipio (Zephyrusu) + Numerius Tullius (need mental help) (Balanced)
(2 veterans+ 6 legions + 10 command)= 20 strength
Mithridates VI (Balanced)
(10 Armies + 4 command) = 14 strength
Battle Roll: 7 (+6 from greater strength =13)
Result: Stalemate
Mithridates first move was to besiege the Roman-allied town of Cyzicus. The town held out long enough for Aurelius Cornelius Scipio and Numerius Tullius to arrive with a Roman army and establish a counter-siege. Mithridates attempted to convince the Cyzicans that the Roman army was his own reserves, but Scipio was able to convince them otherwise by secretly sending a messenger into the city.
With the onset of winter, Mithridates forces faced starvation and had to abandon their position and halt their invasion of roman territory. Scipio, shadowing his larger army, Mithridates unleashed his heavy cavalry in a great charge against the infantry under Tullius stood firm with spears, the cavalry reared up and refused to go any further. Both sides then withdrew.

Tigranes (Envelopment)
(8 Armies + 2 command) = 10 strength
Battle Roll: 10 (+2 from greater strength =12)
Result: Stalemate
With Mithridates strategically confined to the north, the romans sent another army directly east into Armenia.
Tigranes was astonished by the speed of Semper Pompeius advance into his Kingdom but morese by the fact that he had even launched such an operation in the first place. Unable to reconcile with this reality for a certain period of time, he belatedly sent a general named Mithrobarzanes with cavalrymen to slow down Pompeius' advance.
They moved to surround the romans and they would have been successful if not for the great efforts of Legio Evocati V Ubiquitous. Continued harassments turns the invasion into a failure and he returns to Asia.

Battle of Cyrene
Tiberius Germanus (Dr Trsid) (Direct Charge) TACTICAL COUNTER
(8 Legions +4 command)= 12 strength
Egyptian Commander (Flanking)
(10 Armies) = 10 strength
Battle Roll: 9 (+2 from greater strength +4 tactical counter =15)
Result: Victory
Incensed at the treachery of the populare-run senate to surrender a province to the barbarrian whore Cleopatra, Tiberius Germanus convinced the triumvirate to send him in an effort to retake Cyrene for the Republic. Pisentius promised Cleopatra the fleet would come to her aid and together they would halt the invasion, this promise was not realized.
Opposing their landing was the Ptolemaic "army" considered by the romans as a highly disorganized assemblage of mercenaries. However, they were bolstered by a herd of elephants which would prove to be difficult to take down
If Germanus had veterans under his command they would have been thrashed, but with only raw recruits the battle was not over as quick as he would have liked. Once the elite corps (The Corneliani and elephants) fled the field the rest of the army broke too. Upon realizing the outcome of the battle; the city of Cyrene opened its gates and the entire province recognizes the romans based in asia as their overlords. The legion which one the most Honors (Legio VIII) picks the elephant as its new symbol and praises Germanus.

(27 Fleets +4 command)= 31 strength
Aquillo Pisentius (White Army) + Pianus Benedictus (Boywind) (Flanking)
(17 FLeets + 4 allied fleets + 11 command) = 32 strength
Battle Roll: 15 (+1 from greater strength =16)
Result: Senate Victory
After the successful campaign in Cyrene, the Triumvirate came to the strategic conclusion that the continued blockade of Rome itself was critical to the war effort. While their best commanders Scipio and Tullius were occupied fighting Mithridates, Germanus was the only one available to safely guide the fleet to Carthage.
Making good time south to Crete, after resupplying at Kydonia the horizon was filled the sails of the Senate fleet. With no choice but to do battle, Germanus arrayed his fleet in a line, a solid, but unimaginative tactic. Pisentius led his right (the traditional spot for leaders) in a strong flanking attack while Benedictus held the center bravely but gaining no glory. Ultimately, the senate sailors gained the upper hand and Germanus had to flee with the majority of his ships before his fleet was surrounded truly lost.

You cant take rome unless you're going to stay there to be counter attacked...
I dont understand why, if you take anoyher other province it doesnt matter.
Its basically because aetius is tired of all the special phases.

Ohhh I thought it meant something like "you can only hold Rome if you can hold it (ie. successfully defend it)."
I guess it does make a little sense since it might just cause an endless special phase serious with both sides doing the same thing of taking and retaking the capital without any major battle

you need to tell your redeploy after you are telling you will attack... and its before the rolls, how can you know not to redeploy all back to asia/sicly/africa/whatever before the rolls, if you guess the worng time all the army will be in rome and seante get its phase and you may capture 0-2 only....

And seeing that Populares has not hooured this deal, I would like to propose to the courts the following motion: Because they failed to share Consulship, they shall share the powers of consulship, namely the election/proposals roster.
Also, we get concessions as per the agreement
