Its k, the updates are good because we need new things, to keep the game fun and fresh..... Bla.
For cw player premium is must have, so we are all in the same situation.
For noobs, scenario and other unlimited money games... This means nothing.
Actually longer walls are going to make a difference in scenarios. Scenarios undeniably contain much walling. Also, these updates make it harder to wf with 1 unit, and scenarios contain a lot of wf aswell.
ummm longer walls actually make it easier to wf....

How come? With longer walls, the units of a wall are further apart from eachother. Therefore while a city seems to be wallfucked, you can actually make a triangle wall in it by moving the units further away from eachother and the wallfucking unit. I've actually already done that in Ultimate WW2 and managed to wall in Japan's stack as China while it seemed wallfucked, and now with longer walls it's even easier.

Because what you are describing has nothing to do with the size of the wall. You could obtain the same result by sending 2 bombers to destroy the wallfuck unit.
Wallfucking longer walls is easy because the wf unit doesn't need to be as precise anymore since your wall requires more space.

You don't know how wallfucking works if you think that. Wallfucking is caused by placing a unit near the unit that walls, not near the wall itself. Therefore when you place a unit near a city to wallfuck it, it's now possible to ignore that wallfuck by putting the units further away from eachother. The wallfucking unit might even be on top of the wall, but the wall will still be there.

Do you need both the longer defence lines upgrades or can you avoid wallfucks with just the first one?

Ohhh, that's certainly interesting. But I'm going to prioritize buying SM over even the first one. The new upgrades just made it harder for me to decide which upgrade I should invest in I had a whole plan laid out....now it's all out the window

you are mistaken:
Top =/= Middle of the wall.
WF ratio: 1 range
Wall length (before the upgrades): Min 1, Max 2.
Wall length (after the upgrades): Min 1, Max 2.20
Placing an unit right in the middle of a wall means that the unit is at 0.5 range from both walling units.
With both upgrades, placing an unit right in the center means that it is at 0.6 range from both walling units.
The wall max length would have to grow +201% (equal to more than 1) if we wanted to see the WF not working right at the middle of the wall.
Placing an unit right in the middle of a wall is, however, highly unlikely to happen. In situations like this one:
It is impossible.
The maximal distance required between your WF unit and the walling lines in order to prevent the wall from forming can be calculated as follows:
Before:
After (with the upgrades)
You can use Pythagoras to calculate X = The distance between your unit and the center of the walling lines. Comparing both results you'll realize that you have to be closer if you want to prevent the wall from forming, trust proving Zeph's point about WF being harder to do. It can already be done if you're skillful enough, but the upgrade makes it a little easier.

OK then this is ridiculous. This completely changes atWar's walling tactics. You might as well not wall-fuck then, for all the good it'll do
I personally think tactics like this one will be frowned upon quite fast as it is just as a half- Serbian wall.
Maybe... I still think that the upsides beats the downsides of theses two upgrades.

Yes, but it'll still occur accidentally. Serbian wall however, has to be purposeful.

Impressive change. Last time I checked the "No. It's perfectly fair. Stop whining." was winning by a very wide margin. Now it's just 2 position after "Yes. Its unfair to non-premiums(Pay&Win)".
I guess it's all about letting the people know about the polls. Otherwise they'll be always outnumbered by the same type of players.

People who lack premium Are always eager to vote for free stuff. Those ranks 1-5 with no premium must be really wise for voting on favor of nerfing generals and high rank upgrades.

lol to me this is hilarious. I played a game before where people could and did sink thousands of euros/dollars into hero gear to power up their heroes and it was a percentage based system. It was a huge advantage. Average maxed gear cost 6-8k. If you were unlucky it would cost more. I'd 2 guys in my alliance who spent over 10k dollars. You could farm it but it would take years. That game claimed it wasn't pay2win. I think skitz actually plays it. At a measly 40$ i find it ridiculous to see people complaining about atwar.

40$ is very much for the average aw-player. Remember that there are many people from poor countries or they are underage.
