Since my mighty Belize, who managed to conquer the whole world a few times already, is not on the list, I will go with my second choice: Greenland.

Lol at having to explain this. The whole point is being bad, not being an awesome small country. Stuff like Malta, Belize, Macedonia, Cape Verde, etc aren't terrible picks like Fiji, Djibouti, or Suriname. If you're surrounded by cash (Macedonia/Malta), close to a big country (Belize), or surrounded by territory (Cape Verde) it's not a bad small country pick. But try expanding as Mauritius, Iceland, or Alaska. Trololololol.

Belize isn't so close to big countries and will always have to fight stronger enemies early in-game, which doesn't make it any better than Iceland, for example. Anyway:  Yes, this is my capital we're fighting for, this is just a small example of what happened the whole game, until I won by turn 75 with most SP. Yes, my capital is bugged, it has one enemy holding it and another one with troops 'over' the city, which cost me one more turn to recover it. Yes, Greenland is awesome.

Once won a European game starting from Iceland. If you can take Ireland/UK and get through the Strait of Gibraltar then you're set.
