What is html5???

To some of you this might seem a stupid question but what is html5? What new stuff will it bring to aw?

Html5 I think is a programming language or something for websites. With HTML5 we'll be able to play AW form a tablet (lol who'd do this controls suck for tablets) and maybe other things.
