Greetings Atwar, and mods, hope you're all doing well today and that you're enjoying a brilliant week-end. Anticipating the new auto-ban feature for the map editor, I've been quite excited to draw up new plans & criteria for banning players from my maps. Here's the second new criteria:

  • If you break the rules of a certain map, these differ depending on which map you are playing
  • If you wall-fuck or enter someone else' land on turn 1 which ruins the game-play
  • If you have me ignored for no reason, because I find it annoying to tell people to unmute me
  • If you are in, have been in, or have said you want to be in:

  • Tempted Legion. I'll give the explanation right here leader is a fag incapable, and everyone in it can't play properly and will wf us in game so it's best not to let any of you into my games into the first place
  • Solidarity. This is a troll clan and they keep changing their name and so does their leader, so I'll post a link to their clan here for future reference. http://bit.ly/1p5CuAX
  • The Roman Empire. Everyone there is an incapable fucktard I mean player. Very much like tempted legion just worse since they play ancient world as well as Tempted's RP. They can barely wall. Sorry but even my noob games like Adog RP or Adog LoN require some skill, clearly absent here.

  • If I have you enemy-listed for whatever reason
  • Finally, if you leave on the first 5 turns without a valid reason [/list]

In addition, I'd like to say, that all Imperium maps now enforce the Adog Banlist, and that I will gladly handover non-personal bans to Tik-Tok. (Non-personal bans are Criteria 1, 2 and 6)

If you're going to ask why I am banning noob clans it's obvious. I do not ban noobs since they have done nothing wrong at all, and they are the future players of atwar - I have 0 problems with noobs. However, ignorant noobs who are situated in there clans are all ones who literally cannot play properly yet want to take important places in games. I am fed up of little shits noobs like TheRomanWarrior.

Have a great weekend, and summer is coming up. I wish the best for you all,
    Adog

As soon as the ban list capability comes out, I'll revoke the privilege for you and only you.

How is that fair. These bans are fair. You mods aren't.

I find myself more responsible than a lot of people. It is clear to stop these trolls we need collective banning, however it is evident that Fuhrer Tik does not like this idea. So instead I won't collectively ban, instead since I have a warning system, whereby each person who breaks a rule gets 1 warning and if they re-offend they will get banned ( I have sympathy unlike Tik and Tunder ) I will simply just take away the 1 chance away from these clans. As soon as they break a rule they'll be banned. I think we can all be very happy with this new system.

THIS is the diversity of map-makers standpoints on the issue. Under these circumstances, how can you guarantee that there is not going to be abuse?

Ive already given suggestions on how to deal with rogue mapmakers banning people willy nilly. The fact is you failed to act, we striked, we made a deal. Hold up the deal.

My gripe is with griefers. If you must, just restrict auto ban lists to trusted map makers. If someone seeks to have an auto ban list, let them ask for permission and prove they wont abuse it. An admin of a game can kick anyone for any reason. You have no issue with this, but the creator cant prevent griefers? Ridiculous.

Ive given enough suggestions to show how this will work. Stop wasting time and implement them. I dont support personal bans, restrict access to those who abuse. The main issue is griefers.

If a ban seems unfair, the player can complain to a mod. A map can have rules written into the map which if are broken can lead to a ban. Ive based most of my bans on this premise while others are based upon players I have seen with my own eyes. In future I will screencap any rule breaking I see personally and also rely on continued screencaps of rulebreakers. I dont ban without evidence.

The global TikMap rule is if you break the rules on one map, you are banned from all my maps.

I dont see why this cant be the outline for responsible mapmakers.

Evidence of breaking map rules= Legal action.
    No evidence = Illegal action

Leavers are down to the map makers discretion.

This seems very simple to me. If a mapmaker cant follow this guideline, then restrict access to auto ban. Ive already made it clear I will be taking multiple people off my original ban list but lower ranks will remain. The ability to simple ban a player from playing a map should shut down griefing over time. Lower rnaks tend to be the alts while higher ranks are the main.

Test it out. Slowly give the power to those who ask for it and have a period of probation to show they are able to use it.

My goal was to stop griefing. That was what the strike was about. Those that seek more are either trolling or demanding too much. My demand was simple. Stop griefers.

Ofc. I have issue with this. Both, as Mod and as map-maker.

I do the same as tik-tok
But I don't take ss of the acts, because I only ban trolls that I witness with my own eyes, regardless of the map. (By troll I mean somebody that ruins the fun of the scenario for the other 19 players at purpose, like quitting turn 1, or wf after he said that he won't wf. And taking cities of his teammates in a team game).

The majority of the map makers follow tik-tok's guidelines.

Yes. I have a set guideline I follow. I've shared it.

Maps have set rules visible on the Map. Those that break those rules can be banned.
Rules can only include map based rulings such as two players not being able to ally, no leaving without valid reasoning, no wallbreaking, no 'rogues.'

I believe 'Leavers' should be down to the mapmakers discretion. Mapmakers can be leniant or authoritarian on Leavers, it should be entirely down to them as long as they have evidence of the player leaving the game.

Honestly. This isnt hard to do. If you are unable to understand the difference between a griefer and a non griefer, why are you a mod? I've never had any complaints. JUGERS use to complain to mods about being on my ban list but now he sends me screencaps of rulebreakers. He supports the Auto Ban because he has to deal with griefers. Anyone on it usually has screencaps and knows why they are there. Others willing to apologise for rulebreaking are given second chances.

    Evidence = Legal Action
    Zero evidence = Illegal action

Those that do not follow this guideline can have the auto ban taken away. Those that want the auto ban have to ask a mod for it.

I have said many times. If it is an issue, only give it to trusted mapmakers who you know will follow these guidelines. Those who aren't as trusted can be put on a probation status where their actions are watched.

Im here to stop griefing. Thats it. That is why the strike was about. Nothing else. Ive set good guidelines.

Just take screenshots and save them in a file so if a Mod gets a complaint you can show them the justified reasoning for the ban. Dont ban without evidence. Keep the system clean, keep it documented. Lets be transparent about what we do and why we do it. This is about rebuilding the reputation of our games and clearing out the griefers but doing so without causing a mess among the community.

We are being abused right now, we sit in lobbies for 45 minutes to have some faggot laugh it off as he leaves and ruins the game, a ban feature will have some corruption of its own, but it is far less then there is now, since in the community for every 35 players there is 1 map maker. so there is 1/35 less chance there will be corruption then random noobs leaving simple as that.
