edit: oh and yes, slowrolling requires more skill than rushing. True skill is knowing when to slowroll and when to rush, and not just always having one as default. If you compare, however, you will see that slowrolling requires an added dimension of thought.

ps: i've never been rushed by LB ukr so far (have only been back a month) and i don't even care if that happens, the point is LB takes some of the strategy out of the game because you get op units without enough nerfs to force you to manage your units in the most effective manner... i wasnt even talking about lb ukr lol

its going to happen one way or another, its too op for its own good currently.

While other strats get good bad and normal rolls, lb gets godly, normal and on rare occasions bad rolls

Edit : Stop discussing other strat changes. Clovis and ivan already shut down any chance of that. But clovis did relent that lb might need a nerf so here we are. I believe with enough support theyll add it. If you want other strat changes badger clovis. We cant do anything about it here.

I didn't provide a counter argument because they weren't counter arguments. You just flipped what I said and literally made the same argument that I had already made. You literally mocked yourself in the third paragraph of your post. Maybe try reading my post carefully again before posting...

You just restated whatever you said in your first post. You didn't back anything up. There was no reason for me to argue back to someone who thinks they are the top of the world because they beat people with MoS Ukraine...

yeah, because saying GW doesn't require micro or that imp is a niche strat is a totally valid argument that I just restated...

How does GW take micro? It's just dragging units. You can hardly call that micro. Also, it is whining. I don't see another word that fits the bill so perfectly.

I don't support this, -3 crit is really too much, it will make it almost obsolete, it's not that op.. transport are nerfed and the rolls are rolls, it's not a safe bet as PD def. But it's true it's really strong, if a nerf is really needed, maybe -1 crit, but not -3...

Its a solution (which i do not suggest) but make the % Pseudo random instead of True Random

Its either going to be -2 crit or another +10 cost

When nerfing strats add to it's weakness rather than nerf it's strengths.

Nerfing the current lb will make it useless and nobody will use it

Nerfing LB is like kicking a homeless man into his stomach: sure, you can do it, but what's the point?

We already had +10 cost on inf and militia a patch ago and nobody played it. Unless we add the cost back just to the infantry. But even then that will reduce the strats current versatility which imo is a good thing. I dont want to see lb rendered obsolete again.

Boosting lb chance to +20% and nerfing critical value to random roll+half max roll will mathmetically and obviously make lb (and the game itself) less gay by a very minor effect it will be neither considerable nerf nor a considerable boost exactly and shits will be the same in the game except critical chance value will be less

LB is very expensive to run. and leads to limited units over time. This is especially apparent early game and you mods wanna fuck around with strats because you can't CW or Duel because you don't know how to fight LB? Time to go and revive IF. Oh wait when everyone goes IF, NERF? you people are trying to mess around with crap that doesn't need fixing, How about you focus on making other strats more viable (Like Blitz, RA, Etc.) instead of trying to nerf the ones you find uncomfortable fighting yourselves. Trying to screw the rest of the community for your own convenience is utter abuse and such nonsense should not be happening.Rolls are bloody random anyway and manipulative screens aren't enough to BS that fact. It is only +10 crit anyway and +10 cost. It balances out with less units spammed, and you all wanna nerf it? This proposal to nerf LB is so the PD, IF and Other duel/cw fags who wanna screw over the scenario community with more strat BS.

Well done you. You managed to include all the anti strategy change clichés but failed to address why a strategy should basically get roughly 1 att/def to all units with barely any drawbacks. It's interesting that you accuse us of screwing over the scenario community when a strategy like this must be a plague upon your area of the game.

Then we look at your top 3 strats and oh.... what a surprise. Some people are shameless.

I have played several other strategy games. All of them receive regular patches and changes to the meta. Dota2 a high profile example receives a patch every 2 weeks. Obviously i wouldn't expect the same of atwar but i don't think its unreasonable to ask for a few strat changes once a year or so. Especially when theyre so easy to apply and there is a paucity of any other updates to keep us longterm players interested. Scenario players are getting their map editor. What about us competitives. Fuck us eh?

what you're saying is, the game should remain stale and never change. we should always play the same things with no variety whatsoever right?

that is just plain wrong, change is necessary and has to be made. the ideal world would be where all strats have viability somewhere and a winrate of 50%. we don't have that in atwar, but if we did the game would be much better. the meta should never be stale and should constantly change every once in a while to give the game a breather of life and introduce innovation.

I'm far from losing myself with "my peace and my love", but thank you for worrying it's nice of you.

I think you did not understand the meaning of my comment.
I just do not agree on changing this strategy, because it is a problem for some of the players who were at the top of the ladder and who is upset by players can be "lambda" for them, and suddenly want to pressure to quickly change before losing face, because they do not find a solution in the game to this problem. so they choose the easiness.

But I agree with you, do it once a year but for all strategies and not a selection among 2-3.
