The Cartolympics! Let the Games begin :)

The Cartolympics is a series of map competitions for Cartographers, anyone can apply for their maps to be judged as long as they enter in the right Genre.
Currently we have 7 competitions:

• Ancient Maps - maps like Roman empire etc. and to be honest, any map up to 15th century
• Napoleonic Maps - maps relating to the Napoleonic wars or during this era
• Colonial Maps - those such as GGG or Imperial Era
• Team Games - any map which can be played as a team, scenarios like WW1 or fantasy maps like Dream world
• Civil War maps - such as the Spanish Civil war or the Syrian Crisis
• Other Scenarios - scenarios which do not fit the above criteria such as 1938 maps
• Clan Cartography war - clans which participate enter 1 map that their clan member has submitted and these will be judged, the reward for this goes to with winning clan

The Judges for the Competition include:

• Adog - Head Judge
• Tik-Tok - Judge
• Tunder3 - Colonial Map specialist
• SQUARED - balancing expert
• Aetius - Ancient map expert
• ~Safari - Adjudicator
• ~Chess - Adjudicator

So what are the prizes you ask?

• Superior Custom Map Making Trophy - For winners of the sub-competitions
• Exclusive Adog Trophy - For winners of the sub-competitions
• Clan Cartolympics Trophy - For the Clan which wins the Clan Cartography War (Currently under consideration)

I think 4 days to make a map is pretty short considering a lot of us are wrapping up school now

We're not giving a week to make a map that's a competition I have arranged for summer. I meant submitting maps which you have already created, for example Greyavenger's Napoleon or Death1812 could submit 1938 by Death1812. Good luck wrapping up school! ( I Personally have all my end of year exams D: ) Thanks for contributing.

Aw my map are finished, but my troops still need work . When are the next awards being held? My deadline for the completion of my map will be June 7th.

Sorry but I didn't publicly declare, it's also kind of obvious he will win this anyway (ancient map). In addition, It's only one sub-competition. DEAL WITH IT. I said keep this private as maybe we might need to change this, but clearly some people don't understand the meaning of privacy.

How exactly did I cheat? I had to put my maps in to stop, well let us say, "maps which need a lot of improvement" such as your GGG:CB or Klaus napoleon from winning. Furthermore, if you judges actually did your voting, we wouldn't be having this discussion. In addition, if you can actually make good maps I can assure you there would be none of this crying.

Yes, comparing an illegal SP farming map with a perfectly legitimate scenario makes perfect sense.

Lots of people play RP, you cannot dispute this. It is wrong to discount it because you don't like diplomacy. Some people might even suggest it's quite biased. (Not good for a supposedly impartial judge. )

you're just refusing to admit the fact that the map maker is an incapable fuck, who simply can't draw borders, make proper units nor can actually balance. So by your standards, tempted is a better map maker than tik-tok. Please bitch, please. Also, if it is such An AMAZING map, go FUCKING PLAY IT. If i see you in a world war 2, or world war 1 i will spam you with "RP IS UP GO PLAY IT", even if u mute me there is such things as guest accounts, (IP ban?... > proxies or just go to neighbour's house etc). Let's go through how we judge maps:

> Borders - Worth 15 marks in total, tempted has copy and pasted borders, cut them up, cannot apex borders properly, cannot align borders properly, cannot make lakes, can't make rivers. 1/15

> Units - Worth 15 marks. All other, sometimes main attack, and occasionally a transport unit for planes. If I made shit like that I would never hear the end of your incessant SQUARED, but apparently when tempted does it, IT'S AWESOME. In addition, he cannot even make the tanks have tank icons. Also, his units are confusing and highly inconsistent. I give 3/15 for effort.

> Balancing - Worth 15 marks. If you pick Africa you're dead. If you pick Germany, you've essentially won. You whine when austria loses in napoleon try playing africa with 15 income. Oh wait u don't know shit about what you're talking about. 0/15

> Game play - Flags, units pictures, innovation, Worth 5 Marks. I would give 3/5 for that... he has flags and unit pics but 0 innovation.
