A Competitive Custom Map

One year after the implementation of the custom map editor atWar players roughly split into two groups: Fans of scenarios and custom maps and fans of the classic EU+ +100 preset. This gave me the idea to host a big contest that introduces a custom map as venue for a series of tournaments and let these two groups move a bit closer together.



The main purpose of this thread is to provide a platform for players who support the idea of a bigger variety of the competitive map pool and map makers who dedicate large amounts of their time creating prize winning maps that dont reach the expected number of plays in the end. You can discuss the project and your expectations or predictions about the future of custom maps in competitive play. And you may donate Protocoins for the Competitive Map Contest prize pool if you are looking for a way to invest your spare PCs. For anonymous donations send PM (http://atwar-game.com/users/pm_send.php?user_id=7679).

How donation works: You make a post here or send me a PM including 'username - amount in Protocoins' like in the example below and I list it here. You can either buy Protocoins or transfer already owned Protocoins. At the end of february I will contact you to get your Protocoins ready and with your final approval I prepare a list for the admins to distribute the donated PCs directly to the contest winner's accounts. Listing up is NOT A MANDATORY INSTRUCTION to donate anything in the end! Every donation is voluntary and the list is just an example for map makers about the support of the project by our community. So please be honest with your donation, thank you.

I'm sure VRIL just forgot to add your donation to the list. Why would you be stopped from donating...?

Updated. Keep it coming! Small amounts are very welcome aswell I would like to show the broad support within the community so you can already make a difference by promosing 50 pc.

Well, I'm getting full package this month, when I do get it, I guess I can donate a spare 1k PC or if possible more.

This is the distribution:
1st - 70% Protocoins, venue for 2 tournaments, 30d map promotion, Unique Trophy
2nd - 20% Protocoins, regular map contest trophy
3rd - 10% Protocoins, regular map contest trophy

so with ~8k PC the third still gets 800. Similar amount as previous map contest. Just the winner gets much much more because it is a big task and he gotta keep improving map balance.

Pulse - 400 protocoins

EGG - 50 protocoins
