Playing as India PD

Inidia is particularly effective using PD as a strategy, this will probably involve allying with the other asian power, usually a china country, however this will allow the player to fight on 2 fronts without going bankrupt by turn 10. The most important thing is 90% of production should be infantry. The key to making this work is controlling the middles east, using west ports to enter Oman and then Saudi, and spamming infantry to Iran. Using all the west Indian cities starting units available to wall your cities and send to Iran and Saudi. With the east side it is important for income to take control of south east Asia and austrailia. Do not spend all your cash on expanding and expand shrewdly spamming infantry and using sea transports. If there is an opponent in austrailia then the stacks of infantry should be enough to counter any production austrailian cities can produce. The main function of this strategy is be a block between Europe and china. With china using SM, china can help defend Indian cities, provide support in the middles east (usually helping keep control of Iran) and also sending flank attacks through Russia and Africa. Assuming your European is a high rank using MOS or other attacking strategy it is important that every city is walled and that your capitals are surrounded by many militia reducing the threat of stealth and marine attacks. Making sure that it takes at least 3 turns before the city is under direct threat, from the initial attack, giving U plenty of opportunity to defend and load the cap with infantry. Then the winning move, is building a big enough stack to force through to turkey and controlling this area before progressing into the Balkans. About 300 infantry is usually suffice, remember the opponent should also be weak from the relentless bombing capaign posed by china. When i was a lower rank, tried it and lost with a R.A China...i suppose i could do it again in a world map and we'll see if now i'll be able to kill some other countries

PD is the alrounder strat if you dont have that much money xD you can expand pretty much with it

What kind of initial fund is this meant for? 50k world game?

Even with IMP and GW you get broken... and they are cheaper than PD. lol

Best way to play india is
Expand to south india first turn, for example take Mumbai. Why? Because south india has the most richest cities of all india. As PD india you will need the income or else you'll get twisted between europe/middle east/russia/china. Which could be an fun game to play tho (my opinion) atleast better than allying everyone around you.
If you have an enemy/opponent in middle east, idk how long you can hold your units in oman/saudi, if you do, go for united arab nations, and take dubai which has like 150+ incomes =D, Qatar and the little 1 militia islands have decent income too, so does kuwait.
India it self can reach above 1k+ income with full cities and country bonus.
Although it is hard to take all cities fast in india, because all are infantry.

PD India is one of my favorites. if no one is close by IMP works even better. but IMP India cant withstand 2 players attacking for long

if you like to use tanks, imp may be better, but if you have to defend PD>anything
