[Suggestion] Competitions

Competitions are hosted in order to bring a competitive element to the game. Said competitions require specific requirements to win various prizes. Such requirements could either by based on rank or highest elo/sp obtained in a 10-turn game.

The player joins competitions through navigating to the "Competitions" tab when logged in to the game account on the website, followed by clicking "Activate" for the chosen competition.

Attempts

The attempt system is designed to fight douches. (restarting, leaving, abandoning or simply clicking 'x' to escape further humilation)

For certain competitions a limited number of attempts are available. Instead of joining a competition, you are now activating it. Every time you start a new game session when a competition active, one attempt will be deducted. Once all your attempts are used up, no more entries will be registered for that competition. It is possible to deactivate (pause) a competition. While deactivated, no attempts are deducted.

Example given

1. As mentioned, obtain the highest elo/sp in a 10-turn game.
Map/Scenario/Roleplay requirement: Europe+
Starting funds: 10k

Special Requirement: Refrain Alliances
-Rank category (Wins are counted according to the ranks of the players within the same game): Ranks 1-4, 5-7, 8+)
-Competition category (ELO and SP)

2. Obtain the highest votes for scenario editing/map making.
Map/Scenario/Roleplay required: Philippines

Voters earn a whooping 300 SP.

3. Destroy most enemy (not counting neutral) units in a single 10-turn game. Either attacking or defending.
Map: Europe +
Starting funds: 50k
(Competition category (Wins are counted according to the ranks of the players within the same game): Ranks 1-4, 5+)

Prizes

Prizes can vary from Protocoins to Medals, Forum Titles/Badges, Awards/Achievements, free premium membership for a month, a winning SP of 2k-5k, free PROMOs for MAPS the winner hosts for an entire week or preferably a cute, cuddly talking Teddy Bear named Ted! (Whose about to be married this June)

I don't really understand how this is diffrent from a tournement.
