You can't be both at the same time. No person can be good and bad at the same time.

If there are multiple forces that are being applied to an object, the object will always move in one direction, and there will always be a single force acting on him. This force is the sum of all the other forces. In other words, if you've done something good and bad, your final position will be the balance of those.

Example: You save a dog, but killed 20 people while doing it. Then, you're a bad person, because the good things can't match the bad things.

Btw, there are times in which we will be hypocrite or mean, but the balance of that is what you will be most of the times. I'm mean because most of the times I act mean, always try to express my opinion doesn't matter if I lose a friend doing so.

Though, if I already know we're going to disagree, I would rather try to change topic than entering in that conversation.

As a rule I always use the bad definition, hence why this thread is not called "honest or nice?". It is all up to the people if they want to call someone mean or honest, nice or hypocrite. Those words have same meaning but different connotation.
