Can't there be a turn zero where the country selection period takes the full 24-48 hours? This would give everyone a fair start to the game and we could all join and start at the same time. Right now whoever starts the game technically gets the first move.

This has been requested for years. I think the new ownership (Dave) will take care of it as soon as he can. In the meantime, the common courtesy is for the host to not build on Turn 1. I usually do not in the interest of sportsmanship, and I've been playing almost exclusively casual for 5 years.

Why did you use the host advantage in my last two casual games with you?

...That's what this post was all about. That's my point that there should be a fix. What else am I supposed to do? (Also, I don't recognize your name....not sure we actually played in the same games unless you have multiple accounts or something.)

It is simple. Only use the infantry given to you on turn 1. Build units turn 2.

This has been mentioned in several other posts on the same topic, but briefly, while it seems a simple fix, it turns out to be quite difficult to 'fix' the T1 issue due to the game mechanics.
