So lets say 3 dudes from Turkey are speaking Turkish and a mod says stop in the chat, they can hardly speak any English and it's 3 people so they can't private chat. That is why there should be a party chat where you can invite players, they accept the invite and they can talk to each other in private. Every one is happy.

We have a feature for this predicament already. Clans, bro. The turks already have at least 10 clans, I think they can talk to their fellow turk-turks in one of them.

Not supported, (1) due to what Gardevoir said and (2) because I never agreed to the rule that disallows any languages other than English. Besides, if someone wants to make a secret alliance using another language, they can still make it in party chat.

Also I should add, the admins have stated before that other chat modes will most likely not be supported as other options such as Skype, Ventrillo, and Facebook are present, free-to-use, and it's easier to say "go make a skype", rather than code a new chat option in. Why not just lift the language rule? If someone wants to talk in English they will. If it's Deutsch or Englisc or even fucking Scythian, they'll talk in it, instead of having to learn a new language on a website that consists of mostly non-english speakers.

It wouldn't be a mess, do you really think the languages would change all that much? If a lot of people already speak other languages now, it'll stay the same with English being the majority, simply because it was required for so long and everyone's used too it.

I don't agree with the idea, because of what YOBA said.
And we will keep on reinforcing that rule forever if it's up to me. In order to keep a minimum order we need to keep some basic lines, and language is one of them for sure. - We would need at least one mod for each language. If we didn't, then we couldn't even judge what they are saying simple because we wouldn't be able to understand it at all; - Room chat would become a huge mess with people hardly understanding each other;

This is an unnecessary feature. Use clan chat, or start a private game and you have your own private chat room.

Th english only rule is a point that always interested me. Of course allowing every language without any restriction will result in a mess nearly impossible to control by the mod. Personnally i would like that something like the UN official languages start in afterwind. Why not a list of official language that are choose according to real facts and the capacity of the mods to understand them. I would personnaly go with English,French, Spanish and German. They are the big 4 language that you can learn everywhere in every countries. They are the 4 most studied language in the world and I can't find my source for now but i found somewhere that if we take 100% of teh second language learner in the world we get a huge % to english, 8% to French, 7% to Spanish and 6% to German or something like that. The others language can't get more than 2% i think(Chinese,arabic,russian,latin). Now like the United nations afterwidn should have a working language to write to the admins, write in the main section of the forum etcetera. For now i think it's the best that we can make if we want to allow others language without being racist or whatever because we refuse a language. In the future it would be great if we can gradually expand our official and working language. By exemple currently the UN have 2 working language French and english. For the official language the UN have 6 languages.

Necroposting for support of this idea... for clans with sister clans it'd be good to be able to talk amongst both of them. so maybe this or a similar idea, some kind of customisable chat.

Since this thread was revived, I wanted to say I've changed my mind about this suggestion over time. Having the option to make party chats is the best solution for non-english speakers at the moment in my opinion.

It should be clear enough that current clan talk and hosting a private game to chat is limited, if you wanted a group that isn't your clan, or in the case i suggested, where clans have sister or baby clans and it would be good to be able to have a chat channel including members from both, without having to be in the same place on the site.

Guys, I totally support this idea and the people that are not in favor of this idea all have stupid arguments 1) use clan chat...... IsNT it obv that you could want to have a chat group with players from other clans? And what if you only want to have a chat group with 2 or 3 specific players, so clan chat wouldnt work. For example I have Turkish friends and we all want to talk together? So clan chat doesnt satisfy the purpose of this idea. 2) there are places like Facebook or Skype to talk with aw friends...... What if we dont want to give our Facebook or Skype accounts and become friends? Am sure most dont want to reveal their identity. Also this kind of other chatting place has another problem which is that, it is hard to switch between Facebook or whatever is being used and aw. What if we are playing a game at the same time? So this wouldnt exactly work as well. 3) make a private game an talk there. Now this could be an ok solution, however there are still problems, which is that, what if no1 has prem to make private game. And also what if we want to play a game and at the same time look at our friends discussions? Then this wouldnt also work. Also, what if you want to be part of more then one group chat? That is also impossible using private games. With this, room chat would be much less chaotic when lots of players are online and people can speak another language or just with friends. I was thinking maybe we can treat every chat group as a "player with a name" so just like pr chat we could have '/gc' (group chat) and we can write the name of the group chat name to talk. So for example say you get an invite for a chat group and you accept it. It seems you frinds have name this group chat Turkish, then when we are in the game we write '/gc Turkish: ' and then when someone replies you can click on the name and it writes automaticly /gc Turkish:, just like with PR chat. Also maybe you can enable/disable a specific group chat so that you dont see it. And obv you can "uncheck" all group chats. Maybe we can also have list of groups that we are in when we click on /gc, so also like a list of players that appears wgen yiu click on /pr during a game. I think this would be the best way this could be done. I would like to hear what you guys think about this ?

I was going to say I already had this idea only to find out it was my own thread that got revived.... haha... But yeah I mean what's the harm of having a party chat option any ways? Honestly it's not that hard of a program to code, and it would just be another nice feature to the game.
