I find it a shame that subs can't cross under the sea ice at the arctic circle...

No one goes up there, because there's nothing there. So... no need to add this.

There are nazis there though. Thats where they launched their rockets to get to the moon. duh

If you made the capitol of Siberia something high up there then there would be a reason. Make the cap of northern territories Iqaluit and add Whitehorse, things like this.

People do actually go up there though...research and stuff or wait..down southpole antartica

would still be easier to send air trans instead of destroyers. and because of it's tiny income and low reinforcement most people would not bother taking it... as usual

But... the capital of Siberia isn't a northern city and Iqaluit is a much smaller, and less relevant city than Yellowknife.

Let's make Rio Gallegos the capital of Argentina while we're at it.

You don't fucking get it. What's the point of making some shit-city in the middle of god-knows-where the capitol of an entire province, when it reaches far north into the map, just wasting space? Why not just cut off the entire northern map! It's not like it matters, right! If there was something to do up there, people would go. Even if they just used air trans, it would be better than wasting my computer's screen with useless pixels.

I don't think the Arctic is worthwhile no matter what you do with it.

There's obviously no population there, no cities, etc.

The only thing the arctic could do would be a landbridge between Canada, Greenland, and Russia. No other places connect to it.

Creating things to do with the arctic is overcomplicating things in a game that's supposed to be all strategy and realism

I tried to go through the ice once, i lost the game cause i couldnt get through it
